Lighting the Way in Limerick
When the Adare Manor 5* Hotel in Limerick recently went through their 18-month renovation, they approached world-renowned hospitality designers Richmond International to help them achieve the look and feel they wanted.
Part of Richmond's brief was to design the lighting and create an atmosphere that complemented the exquisite interior of the 19th Century manor house. The project had to compliment the natural light provided by the 365 leaded windows while still creating natural warmth from the lamps.
Richmond not only wanted to specify the best possible atmospheric lighting but also provide an economical alternative to traditional incandescent bulbs.
The obvious solution was to look at LED alternatives. One of the issues with LED’s is that many struggle to not only recreate the natural tones of traditional incandescent filament lamps but also provide a smooth dimming action.
The solution to the problem came when Richmond specified the Segula range of CRi 90, smooth dim filament lamps.
Segula’s Cri 90 lamps provided the ideal level of colour reproduction perfectly replicating a traditional incandescent light bulb. However, they also offer class-leading dimming capabilities. Not to mention the inherent cost saving of LED’s over incandescent.
Richmond went on to specify many more Segula filament lamps throughout the Adare Manor project.
