Pokémon Fans Are All GO for Costa After Character Sightings

Costa has seen a footfall increase of 30% across its Pokémon spotting stores.

Two of the coffee shop’s sites – both in Worcester – have proven popular with fans of the Pokémon GO app following sightings of Pokémon in their St Martin’s Quarter and The Cross stores.

Costa even saw a 10% sales uplift on the day of the app’s July 6th launch date.

Following the increase, Costa have taken to their Facebook page to encourage players to share their Pokémon sightings, and is now looking into introducing a Pokéstop selector on its online store locator.

Costa’s UK Marketing Director Caroline Harris told Essentially Catering Magazine: “Our stores are proving to be the perfect place for Pokémon across the country to hang out. We are looking forward to seeing more Pokémon finders and Pokémon characters come through our doors over the summer."
