About Ariane Steinbeck

Ariane Steinbeck is the Managing Director of leading hospitality interior design practice in East London RPW Design. Ariane graduated from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University in New York and her award-winning career has spanned throughout the United States, Asia and now Europe.

She is an active contributor to the hospitality and interior design industry, serving as a frequent speaker and mentor. Among the many projects she has worked on, highlights include the refurbishment of the Peninsula Hotel’s flagship - the Peninsula Hong Kong, the Bar Seine and Arabelle Restaurant at the Plaza Athenee in New York City.

Aside from English, Ariane also speaks German and Spanish fluently. Ariane is currently working on projects such as 47 Park Street-London, the UK’s first Curio, A Collection by Hilton in London’s Docklands, Fairmont St. Andrews and the historic Marriott County Hall.

Ariane explores restaurant and food trends and associated interiors around the world and the differences in guest’s expectations influenced by their own or their adopted culture.

“When’s a buffet not a buffet?” and other cultural incongruities will be discussed, as well as cross-cultural differences in successful outlets around the globe illustrated by trend-setting designers, chefs and chains.
