Procurement Strategy for Energy and Mitigating External Risk Factors
I will highlight the potential risk factors through procurement, which at times can be costly if not managed properly i.e. non-commodity costs, political stances, UK energy Infrastructure and the change from fossil fuels to renewable power. All these variables contribute to an increasing energy cost seen across all businesses and I will discuss how you can mitigate these risks when purchasing energy.
About Ian Scattergood
With over 25 years’ experience in key account management, I joined the team at Energy Management in April 2017. Acting as the face to face contact between Energy Management and the client, it is my role to ensure a complete understanding of the client’s requirements, planning, agreeing and implementing the best solution to ensure that all projects are completed ‘right first time, every time’. I see an important part of my job identifying trends, analysing data so that the client doesn’t have to. Many of our clients do not have the time or resource necessary to help them identify ways to reduce their consumption and achieve their energy cost goals, which is why exceptional account management is my responsibility.
